The Act of Looking, 2004

Three floor tile sensors lead up to a projected video of a darkened front porch. As the viewer walks forward on the tiles, the video progresses incrementally: the porch light turns on, and one of seven people opens the door and steps forward. When the viewer walks back on the tiles, the person leaves, closing the door again.
